In honor of the Tony Award-winning musical for the whole family, The Secret Garden, opening GLT’s next season (Sept. 25–Oct. 31, 2015), staff and trustees have carefully selected an annotated and illustrated edition of Frances Hodgson Burnett’s classic book and about 20 other personal favorites for the child—or child at heart—in your life. From A. A. Milne to John Updike, from picture books (including the matchless 1947 bedtime story Goodnight, Moon, of course) to young adult classics, each of these great reads comes with a “staff picks” note about why it is so memorable. Ideal for your children, grandchildren, a second home where young folks visit, or a marvelous donation to your favorite school or institution serving children and youth.
